Poker Rooms 2026: Comparison and How to Choose
There’s no single “best poker room” — there’s the best room for your country, your stakes and your style. We put the eight rooms from our catalog side by side: traffic, rake, licence, HUD rules, payments and bonuses. Star ratings aren’t ours — they come from player reviews on each room’s page.
Updated: 19 October 2026- By traffic GGPoker is the clear number one; Winamax is second thanks to huge tournament fields; PokerStars is third overall and second in cash games.
- Lowest cash rake among our rooms: WPT Global, 4% with low caps; most others take about 5%.
- Strongest licences: PokerStars, 888poker and Winamax. WPT Global, ACR and CoinPoker are offshore; PokerOK publishes no licence.
- Ratings on /rooms are built from player reviews — read them before you deposit.
What a poker room is
A poker room is an operator with its own software, cashier and licence: you deposit, play against the room’s whole player pool and withdraw through the same cashier. That’s the main difference from club apps like ClubGG or PPPoker, where each club runs its own tables and money goes through agents. Comparison: club apps vs poker sites.

Poker rooms in Russia and the CIS
For Russia and the CIS our catalog has PokerOK, the GGNetwork skin with Russian-language support. Other rooms accept players according to their licences. Whether real-money online poker is allowed depends on your country’s laws — we don’t give advice on bypassing restrictions.
How to choose a poker room
- The room accepts players from your country, and playing for money is legal there.
- Its licence and payout record.
- Rake and rewards on your stakes.
- Your formats: cash, MTT, Spins, fast-fold, PLO.
- Whether you need a HUD.
- Payment methods available to you.
- Player reviews.
Where our ratings come from
We don’t assign stars ourselves. Each room’s rating on /rooms is the average of reviews left by players, and reviews pass moderation. Read the most recent ones — they show how withdrawals and support work right now.
Club apps as an alternative
If no room suits you, club apps work differently: games inside private clubs, money via agents. See best club poker apps and where to play poker for money.
