WPT Global Game Formats: Cash, Flash, Global Spins and MTTs (2026)

WPT Global’s lobby is smaller than GGPoker’s, but it has a clear identity: low-rake Hold’em, a strong Omaha scene, Short Deck, action formats such as Bomb Pots, and WPT-branded tournaments with a path to live events. Here is what each section offers and how it is raked.

WPT Global Game Formats: Cash, Flash, Global Spins and MTTs (2026)

Hold’em cash games

No-Limit Hold’em runs from micro stakes to high-stakes tables, raked at 4% with caps that scale with the stake and the number of players — only cents per pot at the lowest levels. Regular tables follow a “no flop, no drop” rule, so pots that end preflop are not raked. Big Ante tables add a hefty ante to every hand for extra action.

NLHE cash games also carry the High Hand Jackpot: quads pay 2% of that stake’s jackpot pool, a straight flush 10% and a royal flush 20%, provided both of your hole cards play.

Omaha and Short Deck

Pot-Limit Omaha comes as four-card PLO and five-card PLO5, on 6-max and full-ring tables. Every PLO4 and PLO5 cash player receives 30% of their rake back each Monday, win or lose, which makes WPT Global one of the cheaper places to play Omaha.

Short Deck, or 6+ Hold’em, uses a 36-card deck without the deuces through fives and has its own, partly lower rake schedule. Both games also appear in the room’s action formats, such as 3 Blind tables and Bomb Pots, where every player puts money in before the flop.

Flash: fast-fold poker

Flash, formerly called Pace, is WPT Global’s fast-fold format: fold and you are instantly moved to a new table with a fresh hand. It suits players who want volume, but Flash pots are raked even when no flop is dealt, and the Table Starter rakeback promotion excludes it.

Global Spins jackpot Sit & Gos

Global Spins are three-handed jackpot Sit & Gos at $1, $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100. The prize pool is drawn before the first hand at between 2x and 6,000x the buy-in, and a 6,000x result also unlocks a progressive jackpot that the room says often tops $100,000. The entry fee includes 5% rake plus a 1% jackpot contribution, and up to four Spins can run at once.

Tournaments and the road to WPT events

The MTT schedule covers freezeouts, Progressive KO, Mystery Bounty and multi-day Phase events, grouped into series such as WPT Daily Crown, Hyper Dash, One Shot, Bounty Bout and the Weekly Golden Bounty, plus freerolls and regular Sit & Gos. Satellites come in step and direct formats at standard, turbo and hyper speed, leading to bigger online events and WPT festivals such as the $10,400 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.

Passport Dollars satellites have been discontinued, and existing Passport Dollars must be used for live events by 31 December 2026. To find a qualifier for any event:

  1. 1Open the tournament lobby and select the event you are aiming for.
  2. 2Switch to its satellites tab, which lists every qualifier feeding into it.
  3. 3Compare buy-ins, speeds and the number of guaranteed seats.
  4. 4Register and note the start time — winners receive tickets or packages, not cash.

Table extras — and what isn’t poker

Cash tables offer Insurance on all-ins before the river at a 5% charge, side bets on your next hole cards, Rabbit Hunt, Reveal Hands and time extensions. All of these are optional, and Insurance and side bets carry a cost, so use them sparingly.

Poker Flips and Poker Master sit in the casino section: they are house games rather than player-versus-player poker, and wagers there go through the casino, not the poker lobby.
