Search results for “hacked poker” promise unlimited chips or a program that shows opponents’ cards. Hands are dealt on the server, so a modified app on your phone can’t see other players’ cards or change the deck. What such files really do is different:

  • Steal your login, password and email confirmation codes.
  • Take over your account and the balance in your club.
  • Install malware with access to your messages and banking apps.
  • Get your account banned — clubs and apps ban modified clients.
