How to Join a Poker Club in Any App: Club ID, Referral Code and Approval

Club poker apps have no public lobby: you can’t browse clubs or search them by name. You get in with a club ID — and, ideally, the ID of the agent who invited you. Here’s the whole path from the ID to your first hand, with notes for every major app and the mistakes that cost new players money.

Updated: 16 October 2026
Key takeaways
  • In every club app you join by club ID; most apps also have a field for a referral / referrer ID — that’s your agent.
  • After the request the club approves you manually — message the agent with your nickname and it usually takes minutes.
  • Joining is always free. Anyone charging for a club ID or “entry” is a scammer.
  • Before depositing, ask about chip rate, rake, rakeback, withdrawal times and fees.

How joining works in club poker apps

ClubGG, PPPoker, PokerBros, X-Poker, Suprema and Pokerrrr 2 all work on the same principle. The app is free software running on play chips; real-money games happen inside private clubs, and each club decides who gets in. That’s why there’s no “join” button next to a list of clubs — you need the club’s ID, and the club needs to know whose player you are.

“Whose player” means which agent brought you. The agent is the person who will credit chips when you deposit, send money when you withdraw and pay your rakeback. Most apps let you enter the agent’s ID right in the join form — it’s called a referral ID, referrer ID or invite code depending on the app.

New to agents? Read what a poker agent is and how they work before you pick one.

Before you start

  • The app installed from the official store or the developer’s official site — not from a random link.
  • An account with an email you can access: the app sends confirmation codes there.
  • Your player ID and nickname — the agent will ask for them.
  • A club ID and, ideally, the agent’s ID — from our catalog or a player you trust.
  • A payment method the agent accepts: crypto, bank transfer or an e-wallet.
  • A budget and a stake you’re comfortable with.

Where to get a club ID

Club catalogVerified clubs with rake, rakeback, online and player reviews — RatePokerClub catalog.
An agent or a friendThe most common route: the agent gives you the club ID and their own ID at once.
Forums and chatsLists of clubs go out of date fast. Check the club before you deposit.
“Selling club IDs”Club IDs are free information. Paid “access” is a scam.

Whatever the source, the club ID alone isn’t enough to judge a club. Look at how long it has run, which union it’s in, what players say about withdrawals and whether the agent answers your questions before you pay. More on that in how unions work.

Step by step: joining a club in ClubGG

ClubGG has the clearest join flow, so we’ll use it as the example. Other apps follow the same logic.

  1. 1
On the home screen tap the Search Club bar at the top.
  2. 2
Enter the club ID (6 digits). In the Referrer ID field enter your agent’s ID — that’s how the agent finds your request and links you to their account. No agent? Leave it empty.
  3. 3
Check the digits and tap Confirm.
  4. 4
The club page opens: name, ID, union, owner and number of members. In the verification field write a short message — your nickname and who invited you — and tap Join.
  5. 5
Message the agent or club manager your ClubGG nickname. After approval the club appears in your club list.

Referral code, referrer ID, invite code: what it does

X-Poker home screen: “Enter Club ID” and “Enter Referral ID (Optional)” — the same idea as in ClubGG

The second field in the join form is easy to skip, but it decides a lot. The referral ID ties you to a specific agent, and that agent will:

  • credit chips to your balance when you deposit;
  • send you money when you withdraw;
  • pay your rakeback and bonuses;
  • be the first person to answer when something goes wrong.

If you join without a referral ID, the club either assigns you to someone or doesn’t approve you because nobody knows whose player you are. Enter only the ID of an agent you’ve already agreed terms with: in ClubGG changing agents later is only possible through the club manager.

A “referral code” is never a promo code for free chips. Chips with real value only come from the agent after a deposit — see which club bonuses are real.

PPPoker“+” (add club) → club ID → requestApproval by the club manager, usually after you contact the agent; clubs often sit in unions

Suprema PokerJoin a club by ID from the agentiOS, Android and Windows clients

Interfaces change between versions, but the logic doesn’t: ID → request → approval → agent. If you can’t find the join button, look for a magnifier, a “+” or a “Club” tab on the home screen.

Why your request isn’t approved

  • You didn’t contact the agent — many clubs ignore requests “from the street”.
  • There’s no referral ID, so the club doesn’t know whose player you are.
  • The verification message is empty — the manager can’t match you to anyone.
  • The club only takes players from certain countries or has closed registration.
  • In ClubGG you’re already in 40 clubs — the limit for one account.

If nothing happens within an hour, message the agent again with your player ID and nickname. Still nothing — pick another club: a club that ignores you before the deposit is unlikely to be faster when you withdraw.

Right after approval: your first deposit

  1. 1
Agree the amount and method with the agent. Ask for the chip rate — in most clubs 1 chip = $1, but some use other rates — and whether there’s a fee.
  2. 2
Send the money and keep the receipt or the transaction hash. Don’t send anything before the club has approved you.
  3. 3
The agent credits chips to your club balance — usually within minutes.

  4. 4
Play a short session and make a small test withdrawal. It shows how fast and honest the agent is before your balance grows.

Questions to ask the agent before you pay

QuestionA good answer
What’s the chip rate?A clear number, most often 1:1 in dollars
What’s the rake and cap at my stakes?Percent and cap in big blinds or chips
What’s my rakeback and when is it paid?A fixed %, a formula and a payout day
Minimum deposit and withdrawal?Concrete numbers; $10–20 deposits are common
How fast are withdrawals?Within a day; large amounts up to 24–48 hours
Any fees on deposits or withdrawals?Stated up front, including crypto network fees

Compare the answers across two or three clubs. The real price of play is rake minus rakeback — see rake in poker apps.

Several clubs, switching agents and leaving

  • Several clubs — fine. Balances are separate: chips of one club can’t be used in another.
  • Switching agents — only through the club manager, who can move you to another agent’s downline.
  • Leaving a club — withdraw your chips first: the balance isn’t kept after you leave.
  • One account per person — a second account is a rule violation and gets banned across clubs.

Red flags when joining

  • You’re asked to pay for the club ID or an “entry fee”.
  • The agent asks for your password or the code from a confirmation email.
  • Pressure: “deposit now, the spot or bonus is gone in an hour”.
  • Someone offers a “modified app” or a chip generator.
  • The agent avoids questions about withdrawals.

FAQ

01How do I find a poker club by name?

In most club apps you can’t: ClubGG, for example, searches only by club ID. Get the ID from an agent or a club catalog.

02What is a referral ID in a poker club?

The ID of the agent who invited you. It links you to that agent, who handles your deposits, withdrawals and rakeback.

03Is joining a poker club free?

Yes, always. You only need money for the deposit you play with. Paying for an ID or for entry is a scam sign.

04How long does approval take?

Usually minutes once you message the agent your nickname — in ClubGG typically 5–15 minutes.

05Can I join without an agent?

Technically yes, but many clubs won’t approve you, and you’ll still need an agent to get chips and withdraw.
