How to Start Playing PPPoker
PPPoker is a free app for private poker clubs. There is no shared cashier like in a regular poker room: you play for money inside a club, and you get and cash out chips through its agent. Below is the whole path from installing the app to your first hand, plus what to check before your first deposit.

What PPPoker is and how it differs from a poker room
PPPoker has been running since 2016 and is the largest club app by traffic. It has two worlds. The first is the shared lobby and “Global Tournament”: tables and tournaments open to everyone, played for coins (gold) and diamonds, with no clubs or agents. The second is clubs: closed lobbies with their own tables, where the play for chips with real value happens.

A regular poker room means a cashier, a license and a shared player pool. PPPoker has no cashier: chips are credited to and cashed out of your club balance by an agent, and the club sets the terms (rake, rakeback, stakes, withdrawal rules). That’s why choosing a club matters more than choosing the app.
| Poker room | PPPoker | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Licensed room with a cashier | App for private clubs |
| How to deposit | Cashier in the app | Through the club agent |
| Who you play | The room’s whole pool | Members of the club or union |
| Who sets the rake | The room | The club owner or the union |
| Rakeback | The room’s program | By agreement with the club or agent |
| Shared tables | Yes, for money | Shared lobby — coins only, no money |
Shared-lobby coins are bought with diamonds and can’t be cashed out, and club chips have nothing to do with them. Details: PPPoker diamonds and coins.
Which devices PPPoker runs on
PPPoker works as an app only — there is no browser version. There are clients for every major platform, all on one account: clubs and balances are shared. The computer client looks like a phone — a vertical window with the same interface.

| Device | Where to download | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone and iPad | App Store | Diamonds are bought here too — via the App Store and Apple Pay |
| Android | Google Play (com.lein.pppoker.android) or APK from pppoker.net | Not in your country’s store — install the APK from the official site |
| Windows | .msi installer from pppoker.net | Diamonds can’t be bought in the PC client — phone only |
| macOS | .dmg image from pppoker.net | Account and balance are shared with the phone |
There is no official Linux client, and Android emulators aren’t needed. Step-by-step guides: how to download PPPoker and PPPoker on PC and Mac.
What to prepare in advance
- A username and password for the new account — pick them in advance and write them down.
- A device: PPPoker runs on iPhone and iPad, Android, Windows and macOS.
- A club ID and an agent contact — from the PPPoker club catalog or a player you know.
- A payment method the agent accepts: most often crypto, a bank transfer or an e-wallet.
- The amount you’re ready to spend on poker and the stake you plan to play.
How clubs, agents and unions work
Remember the chain: club → agent → player. A club is a separate lobby with its own tables, stakes and rules. It’s created by an owner, helped by managers. Agents handle players: they take payment, get chips for you through the club Counter, process withdrawals and pay rakeback. A player finds a club by ID with the magnifier on the “Club” card and then settles every money question with their agent.

For a beginner, a club in a big union is usually better than a standalone one: more traffic and stakes, and many unions guarantee deposits. More: PPPoker clubs and unions and roles and agents.
How to choose your first club
In PPPoker a club is the poker room, the cashier and the support desk all at once. Compare clubs as carefully as you’d compare poker rooms: the app is the same, but club terms differ many times over.
Which games PPPoker has and what stakes to start at
PPPoker has one of the widest game lineups among club apps: hold’em, 4-, 5- and 6-card Omaha, OFC, Short Deck, tournaments and sit & gos. But which games a particular club runs is up to its owner — they create the tables.

| Game | What it is | Good for beginners |
|---|---|---|
| NLH (No-Limit Hold’em) | The most popular game: two hole cards, five community cards | Yes — the best place to start |
| PLO4 / PLO5 / PLO6 | Pot-Limit Omaha with 4, 5 and 6 cards: bigger pots, more action | After you’ve learned hold’em |
| OFC (Pineapple) | Open-Face Chinese: three rows, played for points | Once you understand the scoring |
| Short Deck (6+) | Deck without 2s–5s, different hand rankings | Once you know the rules |
| MTT, SNG, SpinUp | Scheduled tournaments, sit & gos and fast few-player tournaments | Yes, if the buy-in is small |
Some tables run special modes — Flash (fast format), double board, jackpot. They make the game more fun but raise variance — beginners are better off starting at regular tables.
- How to choose your first stake
- Start with NLH at the club’s lowest stake — even if you played higher in other apps.
- Ask about the chip rate: at 1:1 a 1/2 table means $1/$2 blinds, but some clubs use a different rate.
- Bring only a small part of your bankroll to the table.
- One table is enough to begin with; open up to 3 once you’re comfortable.

What playing costs: rake, diamonds and fees
Downloading PPPoker, signing up and joining a club are free. You pay for the play itself — to the club, not the app. Beginners often mix up three things: rake, diamonds and fees.
To compare clubs fairly, look at the effective rake: rake minus rakeback. A club with 5% rake and 40% rakeback costs 3% — cheaper than a 4% club with no rakeback (illustrative numbers).
There are also paid 30-day VIP cards (Silver, Black, Platinum): all-in equity, rabbit hunting, detailed stats and a higher own-club limit. They aren’t required for club play — see PPPoker VIP cards.
Your first session: how not to slip up
Start with a small deposit and a stake lower than usual: lobbies, tabs and table rules differ from club to club. Be sure to ask the agent for the chip rate — what one chip is worth in real money. And you can learn the interface for free in the shared coin lobby.

A good habit is a small test withdrawal after your first session. It checks the agent’s speed and honesty before a large amount sits on your balance.
- Common beginner mistakes
- Sending money before the club has approved the request.
- Not agreeing in advance on how and when withdrawals happen.
- Keeping your whole bankroll on one club’s balance.
- Confusing shared-lobby coins with club chips: coins can’t be cashed out.
- Believing “promo codes for free chips” — why that’s a scam.
Safety: how not to lose money
The app itself has run steadily since 2016, with no confirmed deal-rigging scandals. The real risk isn’t the deal, it’s the money: it moves outside the app, through the agent, and PPPoker doesn’t settle disputes between players and clubs. So safety depends almost entirely on your choice of club and your habits.
- Rules for safe play
- Choose verified clubs with a payout history and player reviews — for example, from the catalog.
- Don’t send money until the club approves your request and you’ve agreed terms with the agent.
- Make a small test withdrawal after your first session.
- Keep receipts, transaction hashes and your chat with the agent.
- Cash out winnings regularly and keep no more on the balance than you’re willing to risk.
- Never share your password or verification codes — not with “support”, not with the agent.
- Signs of a scam
- Money is requested for joining a club or for a “club ID” — joining is always free.
- “Promo codes for free chips” — club chips come only from the agent.
- A “diamond generator” or diamonds far below store prices with no escrow.
- Pressure — “deposit now, the bonus expires” — or withdrawals delayed without explanation.
- Offers to download a “modified PPPoker” or a “program to see cards”.
What to do after your first session
Your first session is a good moment to judge whether the club and stake suit you. Basic stats are in the Career tab of the bottom menu, and the Black and Platinum VIP cards unlock a detailed report and opponent data. These are built-in features — you won’t be banned for them, unlike third-party software.
- Check your stats in Career. How many hands you played and your result — more in HUD, software and stats.
- Don’t judge by one evening. A short sample is variance. Draw conclusions over several thousand hands; check disputed all-ins in the equity calculator.
- Test a withdrawal. If you haven’t yet, do it now and time it. In a normal club it takes from a few minutes to a day.
- Track your bankroll. Log deposits, withdrawals and session results. Move up only when your bankroll allows.
- Compare clubs. You can be in several clubs. Try a second club with different rakeback or union and compare effective rake, traffic and payout speed.
