Is ClubGG Legal and Is It Rigged?

ClubGG is the most trusted software among club apps: it’s built by the GGPoker team, its random number generator is certified by BMM Testlabs, and PokerCraft lets you check your own play hand by hand. But money in clubs moves through agents, and that’s where the real risks are. Here we cover legality, “rigging”, bots and protecting your money.

Is ClubGG Legal?

The app itself is legal and available in the App Store and Google Play. Inside ClubGG it’s a social game: chips aren’t sold for money in the app and officially have no cash value. Real-money play happens through clubs and agents, outside the app, and whether it’s legal depends on the laws of your country — and in the US, on your state: online real-money poker is prohibited in many states. Check your local laws before playing.

ClubGG’s random number generator is certified by the independent lab BMM Testlabs. There have been no confirmed cases of rigged deals. The “rigged for action” feeling usually comes from the format itself: fast short-handed tables, bomb pots and lots of all-ins — bad beats simply happen more often per hour of play.

It’s easy to check for yourself: in PokerCraft, compare your actual results with your all-in EV over a sample of several thousand hands. If the lines are close, the deal is fair and it’s down to variance. More in PokerCraft and Smart HUD.

Bots and Collusion

ClubGG checksAccounts are checked for bots and for matching IP, GPS and devices.
GPS and IP RestrictionA club can prevent players on the same network or physically close to each other from sitting at the same table.
Club moderationCollusion is policed by the clubs themselves. The risk is higher in poorly moderated clubs.
RTA and botsReal-time assistants and bots are prohibited — they get your account banned.

Signs of a Reliable Club

  • It’s been running for over a year and is part of a large union.
  • There are player reviews about payouts — on our site or in communities.
  • The rules are clear upfront: rake, rakeback, cashout times and minimums.
  • The union guarantees deposits in case of problems with the club.
  • Red Flags
  • You’re asked to pay to join or for a “club ID”.
  • Pressure tactics: “top up now or the bonus expires”.
  • Cashouts delayed without explanation, or terms changed retroactively.
  • Requests for your GGPass password or an email code.

How to Protect Your Money

  • Play in verified clubs with a payout track record.
  • Don’t keep more on your club balance than you’re willing to risk — cash out winnings regularly.
  • Keep receipts and your chat history with the agent.
  • Never share your password or codes with anyone, including agents.
Player reviews about payouts and fairness are in the reviews section, and verified clubs are in our directory.
